RANCHO21 de Enero

The Ranch

A family ranch in northeastern Mexico

Since 2005 we have bred Beefmaster cattle and Quarter Horse and Pinto horses between Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

History

One family, one date, one word

In 2005, Dieter Lorenzen acquired the ranch that once belonged to Eduardo Livas Villarreal, former governor of Nuevo León. That is how Rancho 21 de Enero was born, between Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

We started with Charolais cattle, but soon moved to Beefmaster, better suited to the region's climate and rangeland. Over the years the recognition followed: many awards at national livestock fairs.

We also became deeply involved in rodeo in the United States, competing with horses specialized in cutting, reining and sorting, and winning awards north of the border as well.

Today we focus on breeding with genetics carefully refined for more than 10 years, both in our Beefmaster cattle and our horses — mainly Quarter Horse: calm, gentle animals, good with children yet fast for the rodeo. A complete combination for any use.

Our horses' bloodlines

We have worked with champion bloodlines from the United States such as Smart Little Lena, Holidoc Cutter, Peptoboonsmal, Like a Diamond and Like a Cat, among others.

Philosophy

Criando para trascender.

"Breeding to transcend." Breeding is not just producing: it is leaving something better than what you received. We select slowly, keep our word and deliver animals that speak for themselves.
